  1. Japanese animation company Studio Ghibli, Inc. has its headquarters in Koganei, Tokyo. It has a significant presence in the animation sector and has broadened its range of media offerings to include short films, television commercials, and two television movies.


    A well-known and well-liked anime studio, Studio Ghibli specializes in theatrical films with an iconic animation style and captivating plot, producing some of the most amazing films in recent memory. Hayao Miyazaki is the director of Studio Ghibli, which specializes in animated pictures for young girls and coming-of-age themes with messages about the environment and humanity's responsibility to take care of it.   2. Masao Maruyama, Osamu Dezaki, and Yoshiaki Kawajiri, former employees of Mushi Pro, created the Japanese animation studio Madhouse, Inc. in 1972. Madhouse has created and helped to produce many well-known shows, OVAs and films, starting with TV anime series Ace o Nerae! (produced by Tokyo Movie Shinsha) in 1973, and including Wicked City, Ninja Scroll, Perfect Blue, Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust, Trigun, Di Gi Charat, Black Lagoon, Death Note, Paprika, Wolf Children, Parasyte: The Maxim and the first season of One-Punch Man. Their strength was and is in TV shows and theatrical movies, unlike other studios established at this period like AIC and J.C.Staff.


    In the 1990s, Madhouse added to the original Mushi Pro team by hiring significant directors including Satoshi Kon, Masayuki Kojima, and Morio Asaka. In the 2000s, they hired many more younger television directors as well as Mamoru Hosoda, Takeshi Koike, and Mitsuo Iso. The studio was also in charge of the original Beyblade anime series, the Dragon Drive anime, and the 2011 Hunter Hunter anime adaption.

    The studio frequently works with well-known manga creators like Naoki Urasawa and Clamp. Yawara! by Urasawa, Master Keaton, and Monster were all adapted by Madhouse; Masayuki Kojima directed the latter two. The firm has animated several CLAMP series, such as Tokyo Babylon, X (both the theatrical film and the TV series), Cardcaptor Sakura and its follow-up Clear Card, Chobits, and two versions of X.

Former Studio Sunrise employees started Studio Bones in 1998, and they have produced several incredible games, including both iterations of Full Metal Alchemist, My Hero Academia, and Ouran HighSchool Host Club.   5. Former members of Mushi Production strike out on their own and found Soeisha, an anime production firm. Production of animation starts in September 1972. Soeisha establishes Sunrise Studio Limited as a production facility. Te studio co-creates shows with Toei, Tsuburaya Productions, and other businesses.
    "HAZEDON" (Tohokushinsha), Sunrise's first animated production, premieres in October 1972.

  6. The Japanese animation studio and light novel publisher Kyoto Animation Co., Ltd., also known as KyoAni (, Kyani), is situated in Uji, Kyoto Prefecture. Hideaki and Yoko Hatta, who are now the company's president and vice-president, created it in 1985.

    The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (2006), Clannad (2007), K-On! (2009), Free! (2013), Sound! Euphonium (2015), A Quiet Voice (2016), and Violet Evergarden are just a few of the anime movies and series that Kyoto Animation has created (2018).

    MAPPA

    A Japanese animation company with its main office in Suginami, Tokyo, is called MAPPA Co., Ltd. A former Madhouse employee founded MAPPA in 2011, which went on to produce several well-known animes like Kids on the Slope and Horror in Resonance. This studio has quickly distinguished itself by specializing on subjects that most studios wouldn't feel comfortable pursuing. Together with Dororo and Jujutsu Kaisen, Yuri!!! on ICE is one of their most well-known anime series.

  8. Production Mitsuhisa Ishikawa established I.G, Inc., a Japanese animation studio and production company, on December 15, 1987. Its main office is in Musashino, Tokyo, Japan. The initials I and G are derived from the names of the company's founders, character designer Takayuki Goto and producer Mitsuhisa Ishikawa.

    The studio also works on video game design and development, music publishing, and management in addition to producing various anime television series, OVAs, and theatrical features. Guilty Crown, Psycho-Pass, Eden of the East, Haikyu!!, and the Ghost in the Shell series are a few of its well-known productions.   9. Former Sunrise producer Mikihiro Iwata formed the Japanese animation studio A-1 Pictures, Inc., a division of Sony Music Entertainment Japan's Aniplex, which produces anime. A-1 Pictures was established in 2005 to produce animations for Aniplex, and it has produced some incredible works, including Sword Art Online, Fairy Tail, Your Lie in April, and Silver Spoon.


    To animate its anime series and productions, the studio was founded by SMEJ's Aniplex animation production division on May 9, 2005. It built a studio in Asagaya in October of the same year and collaborated on the creation of Zenmai Zamurai in 2006. The studio's first series, Kiku Furikabutte, was released the following year, in 2007.

  10. A former animator and director for Tatsunoko Production, Yuji Nunokawa founded the Japanese animation studio Pierrot Co., Ltd. in May 1979. Its corporate offices are in Tokyo's Mitaka district. The anime series Naruto, Bleach, Yu Yu Hakusho, Black Clover, Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, Tokyo Ghoul, Ghost Tales, Great Teacher Onizuka, and Saiyuki are among those for which Pierrot is recognized.

    Clown's face appears in the company's logo. The Japanese word for clown, "Piero," was borrowed from the famous Pierrot figure. Two of the company's anime series, Yu Yu Hakusho and Saiyuki, won the Animage Anime Grand Prix Prize in 1994, 1995, and 2000, respectively.
