    In 1996, a newborn is discovered abandoned inside a coin-operated locker at the Western Seoul railway station. Mother is the head of a loan sharking and organ trafficking criminal organization in Chinatown, Incheon. She has maintained her position of authority by acting coldly and strategically and by surrounding herself with only individuals who would be useful to her.


    One day, Suk-hyun (Park Bo-gum), the son of a debtor, assigns Il-young the responsibility of collecting debt from him. She is initially shocked by the youngster who is not scared of her and shows her warmth and openness from his own challenges in the past and present with an unbreakable spirit over the course of a few days, but she soon begins to feel a particular connection to him. Mother, however, gives her the order to kill Suk-hyun after his father runs away from the debt. Il-young is unable to follow through.
