A Hard Day (2014)
Lee Sun-kyun and Cho Jin-woong appear in the 2014 South Korean action thriller A Hard Day, which was written and directed by Kim Seong-hun. It was chosen to participate in the 2014 Cannes Film Festival's Directors' Fortnight category. A Hard Day is a movie that has very specific goals that it sets for itself, accomplishes all of those goals and then some, and does not pretend to be significant, profound, or an expression of the creative self.
In the movie A Hard Day, Park Bo Gum played Officer Lee, a low-ranking police officer who is renowned for his honesty and perseverance. He inadvertently hits someone who unexpectedly bumps out in front of his car as he drives to the station. The film debuted to stellar reviews at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival in the Director's Fortnight sidebar, where it was praised by critics as a well-made thriller with unrelenting suspense and flashes of humor. Upon its release in South Korea on May 29, 2014, at first, it didn't attract much attention or hype, with a lackluster 80,000 ticket sales on its opening day.
