Alive (2020)

The zombie movie #Alive, which will be released in 2020 in South Korea, was created by director Cho Il-hyung based on the screenplay Alone by Matt Naylor, which was co-adapted by Cho. The movie tells the tale of a metropolis that becomes out of control after becoming infected by an unknown virus. Joon-Woo (Yoo Ah-In) and Yoo-Bin (Park Shin-Hye) are currently fighting for their lives in an apartment building apart from those who have the virus. The internet, phone, and electricity in the flat were all turned off.

Gamer Joon Woo resides alone in an apartment. Joon Woo once viewed a live broadcast on a strange illness that was sweeping the nation. He shut the door and locked himself inside the house after being horrified by those visions. Days later, he learned that his entire family had contracted the disease. Joo Woo was on the verge of taking his own life while feeling alone and hopeless when he noticed Yoo Bin's light coming from the building across from him. After that, they frequently exchanged walkie-talkies and used improvised ziplines to carry food between one another. Joo Woo and Yoo Bin's luck ultimately turned out to be good when the soldiers saved them in time.

The largest first-day viewing of any movie since February 2020 prior to the epidemic was achieved by Yoo Ah In's movie, which accounted for 62 percent of the box office on its first day of release in Korea. In South Korea, COVID-19 first appeared. Alive quickly rose to the top of the box office in the days that followed, going on to become one of the most popular movies of 2020.
