Alkev Private Schools
Alkev Private Schools, established in 2000-2001 by Istanbul German High School alumni, embody a rich tradition dating back to 1868. The Foundation's forward-thinking approach led to acquiring a 30-acre plot with stunning lake and bay views, where the campus now stands. Following German construction norms, the campus features educational buildings, playgrounds, and sports facilities.
Alkev Private Schools offer a comprehensive educational journey, starting from kindergarten with a German Language Acquisition Program and extending up to high school with the exceptional GIB (Gemischtsprachiges Internationales Baccalaureate) Diploma Program.
Starting in the 2018–2019 academic year at Alkev Private Schools, the GIB Diploma Program sets itself apart. It diverges from the IB Diploma Program by teaching at least one language course, history, chemistry, and biology, in German.
The program, spanning 11th and 12th grades, aims for students' all-round growth—intellectual, social, emotional, and physical. Moreover, the preparatory curriculum in 9th and 10th grades broadens students' learning horizons, laying the groundwork for the DP process.
The GIB diploma holds special value as a bilingual international certification accepted by German-speaking universities in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Belgium. This recognition opens doors for ALKEV graduates, granting them access to prestigious opportunities in these countries.
