Bandar Seri Begawan
Brunei's national mosque is always one of Bandar Seri Begawan's most popular tourist attractions. The Omar Ali contains a reflecting pool and a ceremonial royal barge, in addition to its outstanding location on the Waterfront. The sumptuous edifice is reflected in the manmade lagoon. After walking along the Waterfront and seeing Kampong Ayer, pay a visit to the mosque.
A short distance from the city center sits Brunei's largest mosque. The size of the structure is breathtaking, with 29 golden domes and 52-metre (190-foot) minarets towering into the sky. At any given time, a total of 5,000 people can pray inside. Even his own private elevator belongs to the Sultan. We recommend going during the day for photos and in the evening for a more romantic experience.
The Brunei Museum is a good place to go if you want to learn more about Brunei. It is located about 4.5 kilometers (2.8 miles) from center Bandar Seri Begawan and features various Bruneian culture displays. Natural history, Islamic art, and colonial effects on the modern-day Sultanate are covered in other sections. The event is free to attend. Any traveler interested in learning more about Brunei should pay a visit to the country's largest museum. It's worth noting that the Brunei Museum is undergoing renovations as of 2018, so call ahead to see if it's open.
