BASIS Chandler
BASIS Chandler first opened its doors in 2011, and in 2016 it moved to its current location. Their student body is made up of a diverse group of exceptional students in grades 5–12 from Chandler and the surrounding Valley who share a spirit of determination and success through their high-performing academic community and nationally acclaimed curriculum.
BASIS Chandler is a charter school for students in grades 5 through 12. It is part of a nationwide network of public charter schools. In ninth grade, students are required to begin taking Advanced Placement classes and exams. Students in their senior year can choose to participate in the AP Capstone program or the charter school network's own senior program. BASIS senior program students attend seminar-style classes for two-thirds of the year and can propose an off-campus project for the final trimester. Students at BASIS Chandler can participate in a variety of extracurricular activities, such as bug club, yearbook club, and jazz band.
