Big Fish
Big Fish, a film about a father-son connection directed by Tim Burton, made an impression in 2003. Will grew up hearing fairy stories from his father every time he put him to bed but he is no longer interested in his father's stories as an adult and believes that he constantly lies to him. The young guy fled away from home for three years, cutting off all communication with his father. Will decided to investigate the fairy stories his father used to tell him as a youngster when he realized his dad was severely ill and on the verge of death.
Not just stressing the father-son bond, Big Fish but delivering viewers many significant messages about how to act in life, about enjoying the golden moments of childhood. The film has earned nominations in a number of film categories, including four Golden Globe nominations, seven British Academy of Film and Television Arts nominations, two Saturn Award nominations, and one Oscar nomination.
