Train to Busan
Train to Busan stars Gong Yoo, Jung Yu-mi, and Ma Dong-seo were pre-screened on May 13, at the Midnight Screenings segment of the 2016 Cannes Film Festival. On August 7, the picture broke the box office record by selling more than 10 million tickets. Train to Busan follows a group of individuals who are battling for their lives aboard a train destined for Busan. On the train, there are individuals who have been afflicted with a mysterious virus that turns them into Zombies. Those Zombies are constantly on the lookout for fresh victims to bite in order to transform into their own kind. The journey to win the lives of the survivors on the ship including father Seok-woo and daughter Su-an takes place extremely attractive with thrilling action scenes and also contains a story about the love between father and daughter making many people cry.
This is Korean cinema's first zombie film. The film has been well handled and constructed to connect the battle for life between Zombies with the humanity of those who remain alive. People witness everything of man's trust, support, and selfishness in the instant of life and death in general and the father-child bond, in particular - the father may give up his life to guarantee the safety of his children.
