I Am Sam
I Am Sam has surrounded a man who is called Sam and is a mentally challenged man. He is the sole caregiver for Lucy, who has been abandoned by her parents. Despite several obstacles, Sam continues to carefully raise Lucy. Unfortunately, Sam's fatherhood was revoked one day by the Association for the Protection of Women and Children since he could not afford it, both financially and in terms of health. On Lucy's seventh birthday, her father and son were separated. Sam, on the other hand, did not give up and continued to battle for custody of the children.
Although not related by blood, the close father-son relationship between Sam and Lucy will take away your tears in "I Am Sam". Unlike many other fathers, Sam has is only a kind heart and full of love for Lucy. Seeing how Sam cherishes his daughter like a treasure, the way Lucy smiles happily when she is with Sam, you will feel how sacred the bond between father and daughter is. Sean Penn's stellar performance as Sam earned him an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor at the 74th Academy Awards in 2002.
