Bindaetteok
If are a Korean cuisine follower, I'm sure you can not ignore this well-known item. Although influenced by Western pancakes, it is completely in contrast to the sweet and fatty taste with a sauce made from fresh cream and fruit jam. Korean pancakes have a rich flavor from the fragrant green beans mixed with the spicy taste of kimchi that will help change the taste of you and your friends and relatives during your free weekends.
The Bindae-tteok is made from a paste (wheat flour and water) with coriander, pork, green bean sprouts, and indispensable kimchi. To make Bindae-tteok pancakes, people mix ground pork and season with soy sauce, minced scallions, minced garlic, ground black pepper, and sesame oil. Bean sprouts are washed, lightly blanched, cut into short pieces, and seasoned with salt and sesame oil. Kimchi is not stuffed and squeezed to remove excess chili sauce and water, then cut into small pieces. The ingredients are then mixed well, mung bean paste is covered on top of the cake, followed by another layer of flour poured on top of the cake. Finally, Bindae-tteok is topped with cross-sliced red and green chili peppers. The cake will be pan-fried on both sides and served with a dipping sauce consisting of soy sauce, vinegar, water, and ground pine nuts.
This is also one of the famous cakes in Korean streets. In particular, Korean pancakes are not only used for fun but can also replace the main dishes in the family meal.
