Borderlands
Borderlands is an open-world action role-playing first-person looter shooter video game released in 2009. It is the first Borderlands game, created by Gearbox Software and released by 2K Games for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Windows, Mac OS X, and Shield Android TV. The game was launched internationally in October 2009, with Feral Interactive releasing the Mac OS X version on December 3, 2010. The plot of the game revolves around a crew of four "Vault Hunters" who journey to the faraway planet of Pandora in pursuit of the mythical "Vault", which is said to hold advanced alien technology and other precious riches.
The hunters put together clues to discover the Vault while facing Pandora's ferocious fauna and the planet's bandits and outlaws, eventually working together to prevent the Atlas Corporation and its privately financed paramilitary forces from reaching the Vault first. The game allows you to explore the in-game environment and perform both major missions and optional side tasks in single-player or online cooperative mode, with the latter offering extra chances for duels and competitive PVP battles in specified regions. Access to multiple weapons and shields that vary in kind and statistics, weapons with particular elemental functions, each playable character having separate class types and unique fighting abilities, upgradable talents, and the usage of two-person vehicles are all gameplay aspects.
