Brillantmont International School
Founded in 1882 and now run by the fifth generation of the founding family, Brillantmont International School provides a pleasant, home-away-from-home environment for approximately 80 students, boarding and day, aged 13-18, from 30 different countries. It is also listed as one of the best boarding schools in the world.
Brillantmont's academic program is internationally recognized and caters to each student's unique needs. Classes are entertaining, and outstanding teachers supplement their lessons with a variety of sources and media. The student body's cultural diversity facilitates learning and encourages intercultural understanding.
It accepts students in Grades 8 through 12 (typically ages 13 to 18). Some stay for several years, while others only stay for one school year or term. The small class sizes allow students to stay focused on their goals while receiving ongoing support from dedicated teachers.
The 8th and 9th grade curriculum includes STEAM courses in robotics and coding. It creates the groundwork for a lifelong love of learning and encourages pupils to explore their own passions and interests.
Students in the tenth and twelfth grades can take courses that lead to internationally recognized tests. Brillantmont is the region's sole Swiss residential school that provides the British IGCSE and A Level programs. If necessary, it also provides a High School Diploma Program with IELTS and TOEFL. These exams allow pupils to gain admission to world-class universities.
Brillantmont is a family-owned school, and the boarding school experience is centered on family values such as trust, mutual respect, support, and caring for one another. All boarding facilities are located on the Brillantmont campus, on the upper floors of five buildings. The buildings are secure, and the boarding rooms are wide, warm, and inviting. Boys and girls are separated into age-appropriate households.
Brillantmont International School is alive with activity toward the end of the school day. Trampolines, football, volleyball, basketball, swimming, cross-country, tennis, athletics, fitness, yoga, climbing, rugby, kickboxing, badminton, and dancing are some of the physical activities that may be available.
