Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park

Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park is a historical, cultural, and architectural UNESCO World Heritage Site: a testament to the British military engineers' creativity, as well as the skill, strength, and endurance of the African slaves who built and maintained it. This destination is located on the island of Saint Kitts in the Federation of St. Christopher (St. Kitts) and Nevis in the Eastern Caribbean, and is one of the best-maintained historical fortifications in the Americas.

Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park is a fortress complex that includes Fort George Citadel, the Fort George Museum, the Eastern Place of Arms, and the Western Place of Arms, all of which are located on Brimstone Hill. All of these beautifully maintained fortifications and structures are accessible through a steep approach with a succession of steps and ramps. The fortification was built by British military engineers and is a testament to their abilities.
