Central Forest Reserve National Park
The Central Forest Reserve National Park is the next name on the list of the best places in Saint Kitts and Nevis. Saint Kitts is recognized for its azure oceans and fine sand beaches, but it is also known for its lush central mountain chain, which reaches about 4,000 feet and is almost entirely covered in healthy rainforest. To safeguard the majority of the island's rainforest, all areas above 1,000 feet were declared a national forest reserve. Scientists have classified the area as an American Oceanic Rainforest, one of the world's rarest types of forest, and it is expanding rather than diminishing, as is the case in most of the world.
Many routes wind through the lush forests beneath the canopy of ancient trees, rich in flowers and the sounds of the fauna that flourishes in this magnificent habitat. If you find it interesting, do not forget to pay a visit to the Central Forest Reserve National Park when visiting Saint Kitts and Nevis.
