Can you describe a time when you took the lead on a project?
The interviewer might evaluate your capacity for leadership by asking you this question. You can talk about project management, people management, or a combination of the two. In order to get the best result or return on the project, the interviewer will be interested in how you managed the project, the people, and/or the resources that were under your control. If you don't have any experience in project leadership, you can utilize instances from other areas of your life where you have participated in project leadership.
Answer:
At my prior position, my team had experienced a challenging time with declining sales month over month. Our manager assigned us everyone the responsibility of coming up with ideas to boost our sales. I reflected on our present approach and training and discovered that many team members either lacked sales-specific training or hadn't had any refresher training in a while. I believed that holding a training session on various sales techniques may energize the team and aid in increasing our sales. I talked about this with my manager, and together we set up training and a fresh sales approach. My manager gave me the go-ahead to set goals and make sure the entire team received the training. Sales rose in the first quarter as a result, which also had the added effect of boosting team confidence.
