Caraway
Caraway, which tastes similar to coriander, is a herb that may be substituted for coriander without significantly altering the flavor character of your meal. Caraway, like coriander, is a member of the Apiaceae plant family, which also includes parsley, celery, and fennel. Caraway has the same aromatic oils as coriander, such as linalool and pinene, which contribute to its comparable flavor. Caraway is used in sweets, casseroles, baked goods, and vegetable dishes and is often characterized as having an earthy, somewhat sweet flavor.
Caraway plant fruits, sometimes known as seeds, are offered dried in whole or crushed form and can be used in place of coriander. However, because caraway has a distinct taste profile from coriander, start with a tiny quantity and add more as needed.
