Castle Rock Lake
On the Wisconsin River, there is a man-made lake called Castle Rock Lake. It is situated in the counties of Juneau and Adams in central Wisconsin. Petenwell Lake, Yellow River, Big Roche a Cri, and Klien Creek all contribute to the lake's inflow. Its surface size is 67.3 km2, and its average depth ranges from 2.4 to 6.1 meters, with certain areas in the former river beds having a maximum depth of 11 meters. Numerous beaches may be found along the shoreline because of the lake's sandy banks.
Castle Rock County Park near Friendship, Wisconsin, which offers a boat launch, public beach, playground, and amenities including bathrooms and food stands, is the finest place to reach Castle Rock Lake. With easy access to the lake, 300 campsites are offered.
The lake's coastline is still largely undeveloped, making for excellent opportunities to see the local fauna, particularly birds like sandhill cranes, ducks, and herons. You can visit Buckhorn State Park and Wilderness Area, which is adjacent to Castle Rock Lake, while you're in the area to see more wildlife in its natural habitat.
