Green Lake

Green Lake is a lake in Green Lake County, Wisconsin, in the United States. It is often known as Big Green Lake to distinguish it from Little Green Lake, which is close to Markesan. With a maximum depth of 72 meters, Green Lake is both Wisconsin's deepest and second-largest lake in terms of volume. The lake has a surface area of 29.72 km2, and its average depth is 30.48 m. Green Lake's 43.94 km of varied shoreline includes wetlands and sandstone bluffs.

Given that it lowers to a depth of 237 feet, it should come as no surprise that it is one of Wisconsin's top lakes for fishing. For largemouth and smallmouth bass, crappie, Northern pike, walleye, and trout, anglers travel to Green Lake.

Green Lake has eight boat launches, including a canoe launch, and three public beaches (Hattie Sherwood Beach, Dodge County Park Beach, and Sunset County Beach). Green Lake's 27 miles of shoreline are surrounded by six public parks, making it a fantastic area to organize a day of outdoor activities. Travel to Green Lake to find a place to stay and dine. Green Lake is one of the best lakes to visit in Wisconsin.
