Chandra Asri Petrochemical

PT. Chandra Asri Petrochemical Tbk. (TPIA) is a company that works as a producer of polypropylene resins. These polypropylene resins are utilized in the production of a wide variety of consumer items, such as food packaging, carpet backing, and plastic houseware. In 1993, TPIA launched its first for-profit business operations.

TPIA's primary business focus is the manufacturing of homopolymer resins, random copolymers, and impact copolymers. These resins find use in a wide variety of textile, injection molding, and plastic film products, in addition to specific uses in engineering. It uses cutting-edge technology to run the country’s only Naphtha Cracker plant, as well as the facilities that support it, in order to manufacture polyolefins (polyethylene and polypropylene), olefins (ethylene and propylene), and pygas. This allows it to generate mixed C4 as well as olefins (ethylene and propylene).

Its manufacturing facilities consist of three lines that may produce items made of polyethylene, polypropylene, or both. In addition, it runs only one butadiene factory in all of Indonesia. Raw ingredients for the butadiene factory come from the olefins plant, which produces mixed C4 for use by the butadiene plant.
