Coconut milk
Coconut milk comes from the white flesh of mature brown coconuts, which are the fruit of the coconut tree. This somewhat sweet alternative to dairy milk works well in many recipes.
Although coconut milk contains a lot of fat, the majority of that fat is a certain type known as medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs). There’s some evidence that the MCT fats in coconut milk may benefit weight loss, body composition and metabolism. Furthermore, MCTs may provide more heart health advantages than butter, including raising HDL (good) cholesterol, however, further research is needed. Coconut milk's creaminess enhances a variety of dishes, including smoothies, soups, dips, sauces, coffee, marinades, and desserts. Coconut milk is likely safe for most people who are not allergic to coconuts. It is best to choose BPA-free cans.
