Cosme Restaurant and Bar

In Lima-Per, the COSME restaurant first opened its doors in January 2015. It is one of the best restaurants in Peru. COSME has become one of the city's favorites because of its casual but complex menu, homemade sodas, and bright restaurant décor. COSME is a restaurant named after one of Lima's original favelas, Cerro San Cosme, where people still congregate with their friends and family to enjoy a delicious handmade dinner.

And that was exactly what Alvaro, Juan, Guillermo, and James (4 charming friends with a passion for food) hoped to achieve with their restaurant. A gathering spot for their friends and friends' friends to enjoy a "hearty meal with a taste of home" (better known as comfort food). So, in 2013, they came together and started working on COSME, their long-term goal of a quiet, trendy neighborhood restaurant.

Its emblem is based on the buzzard, also known as the gallinazo or volture, a large black bird native to Lima. Despite its unattractive appearance, this bird is an environmentally beneficial animal that is crucial to the environment. This Lima native bird also represents the COSME restaurant's commitment to sustainability. Seasonal items, no plastic straws or soda bottles, and a distinctive architectural style that includes more than 4000 plastic colored bottles hanging from the ceiling highlight their environmental responsibility.
