COUSINE ISLAND
Cousine Island is a small granitic island in Seychelles that is 30 hectares (74 acres) in size and is located 6 kilometers (4 miles) west of Praslin Island. It is a luxury resort that has also been a wildlife preserve since 1992. There aren't many tropical private islands that are as romantic or plain spectacular as Cousine Island. This is not to be confused with Cousin Island, a small neighboring islet.
Cousine Island is a seabird breeding habitat and home to a population of transplanted Aldabra giant tortoises. The island has undergone considerable vegetation rehabilitation, which includes the planting of local flora as well as the eradication of alien plant species. Over 2000 natural trees have been planted since 1995.
Cousine Island Resort Villas is privately owned and located just off the coast of Mahe. As a result, in order to visit this wonderful tropical island, you must be a guest. However, if you're looking for the greatest Seychelles islands for a romantic honeymoon, the French colonial-styled private villas on Cousine should be at the top of your list! However, because to its rarity, this one frequently sells out– make sure to book ahead of time! The best part about staying here is that you're never more than a minute's walk from the beach!
