Dacor (Samsung)
Dacor is a subsidiary of Samsung Electronics USA. Dacor is headquartered in California. Dacor specializes in the design, manufacture and distribution of super high-end kitchen equipment, including wall ovens, cookers, exhaust hoods, dishwashers, warming drawers, wine cabinets,microwaves, refrigerators, barbeques and beverage centers. Founded in 1965 by Stanley M. Joseph, the company was continuously owned and operated by three generations of the Joseph family until it was sold to Samsung in August 2016.
The company's headquarters and 325,000 square foot manufacturing facility are based in California. Dacor distributes products throughout the United States, Mexico, and Canada, selling directly to more than 1,300 dealer showrooms. Dacor has its own factory showroom in Los Angeles.
Dacor has been recognized "The 2013 GOOD DESIGN AWARD" together with longtime partner BMW Group DesignworksUSA, the world's most prestigious design awards program organized by the Chicago Athenaeum: "Museum of Architecture and Design for Human Interfaces", and many other prestigious awards.
