JennAir
JennAir is a Michigan-based designer and manufacturer of home appliances and furniture. JennAir has its headquarters in the Port of Benton, Michigan.
The JennAir Products Company was originally founded by Louis J. Jenn in Indianapolis, Indiana, in 1947, which later became JennAir. In the early years, the company focused on manufacturing and marketing industrial fans, which are used in a variety of commercial and industrial applications.
In 1961, JennAir's integration of one of these fans into the range of induction cooktops led to the invention of the first self-venting air conditioner. The company expanded its product line to include many other kitchen appliances including refrigerators, microwave ovens, dishwashers, and small appliances such as mixers and blenders.
