Daddy Day Care
Eddie Murphy, Jeff Garlin, Steve Zahn, Regina King, and Anjelica Huston star in Daddy Day Care, a 2003 American family comedy film. It is Murphy and Carr's second collaboration following Dr. Dolittle 2. It was written by Geoff Rodkey and directed by Steve Carr (2001). Unemployed Charlie (Eddie Murphy) spends his days caring for the couple's little baby while his wife, Kim (Regina King). Charlie chooses to open a daycare facility with the support of a buddy, Phil (Jeff Garlin). Enrollment immediately increases, and Charlie finds himself dealing with endless red tape as they hire another employee, wacky Marvin (Steve Zahn).
Columbia Pictures released the film in the United States on May 9, 2003. It earned mixed reviews from reviewers and grossed $164 million worldwide on a $60 million budget. The film was followed by two sequels in the same-named film series.
