Trolls

Trolls is a DreamWorks Animation computer-animated musical comedy film released in 2016. It is based on Thomas Dam's Good Luck Trolls toys. Mike Mitchell directs the film, which is based on a narrative by Erica Rivinoja and has a screenplay by Jonathan Aibel and Glenn Berger. The film depicts two trolls on a mission to defend their community from the Bergens, animals that are pleased by eating Trolls.


The film premiered at the BFI London Film Festival on October 8, 2016, and 20th Century Fox released it in cinemas on November 4, 2016. Critics gave the film mixed reviews, and it made $346 million worldwide against a $125 million budget. "Can't Stop the Feeling!" got an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Song. Trolls World Tour, the second installment, was published on April 10, 2020, with a third installment scheduled for November 17, 2023.
