Dadonghai Beach

Dadonghai Beach is one of Sanya's cleanest beaches, located approximately 3 kilometers from the city's center and off the main road. Because of the beach's proximity to the city, it may get quite crowded, but it's still a beautiful and easy place to kick off your shoes, soak up some rays, and swim in the sea.

With 3 kilometers of white sand snaking around a crescent-shaped bay, warm blue seas, and palm trees, this beach, like most of the beaches near Sanya, is really tropical. The facilities are also excellent. Water sports are many and widely practiced. You can go snorkeling, ride a water scooter, swim, and play beach volleyball, among other activities.

Around the shore, there are plenty of places to eat and stay. A variety of tiny eateries and pubs serve delectable appetizers and drinks. Along the beach, there are a variety of hotels and hostels to select from, ranging from high-end luxurious hotels to cheap and clean hostels. When the sun sets and the throng scatter, it's very nice here in the evenings.

After walking east for about 300 meters, you will come to a coastal park with a sea-view pavilion on a hilltop where you can get a bird's eye view of the ocean. Near the shore, there are also famous Bailu Park and Luhuitou Park, which can be reached by regular bus or tourist express bus.
