Dal Lake
The next position on the list of the most beautiful lakes in India is Dal Lake. In Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, there is a lake called Dal. It is an urban lake, the second-largest lake in Jammu and Kashmir, and the destination that both visitors and locals go to the most in Srinagar. It is referred to variably as the "Lake of Flowers," "Jewel in the crown of Kashmir," or "Srinagar's Jewel" and is essential to tourism and relaxation in the Kashmir valley. The lake is a crucial location for commercial fishing and water plant harvesting operations.
A boulevard with gardens, parks, hotels, and houseboats from the Mughal era surrounds the lake's 15.5 km of shoreline. Beautiful views of the lake may be seen from the Mughal gardens along the shore, like Shalimar Bagh and Nishat Bagh, which were constructed under the rule of Mughal Emperor Jahangir, as well as from houseboats cruise the lake in the vibrant shikaras. The lake freezes throughout the winter when the temperature drops to as low as 11 °C (12 °F). It turns into a true frosty wonder. May through November are the best months to visit the lake because the weather is still comfortable throughout these months.
