Descendants of the Sun (2016)

Descendants of the Sun is a South Korean television series that premiered in 2016 and stars Song Joong-ki, Song Hye-kyo, Jin Goo, and Kim Ji-won. It aired on KBS2 for 16 episodes from February 24 to April 14, 2016. From April 20 to April 22, 2016, KBS aired three more special episodes comprising highlights and the greatest sequences from the series, the drama's production process, behind-the-scenes footage, cast member commentary, and the final epilogue.

Yoon Myung-ju, played by Kim Ji-won - commander of the South Korean Special Forces Brigade, is also the daughter of an army doctor. She followed in her father's footsteps, graduating from the Korea Military Academy as a junior of Si-jin before interning at Haesung Hospital. During her first assignment, as the medical officer on duty during a training exercise, she meets Dae-young and is immediately taken with him. Their relationship is well-known among the other physicians at Haesung Hospital and among their fellow soldiers, but it is frowned upon because she is an officer and he is a non-commissioned officer. However, it does not stop her from pursuing Dae-young, much to the annoyance of Lt. Gen.
