Detective K: Secret of the Living Dead (2018)
Kim Sok-yun directed Detective K: Secret of the Living Dead, a 2018 South Korean action-adventure comedy film starring Kim Myung-min, Oh Dal-su, Kim Ji-won, and Kim Bum. Set in 18th century Joseon, during a time when the political situation is problematic under King Jeongjo, Kim Min (a.k.a. Detective K) and Seo-pil partner up with a gorgeous vampire who has amnesia, and they uncover vampire bite marks on victims.
As they continue to investigate, they conclude that the vampire is somehow linked to the fatalities. When the truth was disclosed, it became clear that the lovely vampire was once a human, namely the Crown Princess of the previous Crown Prince. The Crown Prince was assassinated by a traitorous cabal that included Kim Min's father. To conceal their tracks, they blamed the Crown Prince's devoted henchman, Jeong In-yul (Lee Min-ki), and his father. He vowed to exact vengeance on the traitors by assassinating their loved ones.
