What's Up? (2011)

What's Up is a South Korean television series that premiered in 2011. It stars Lim Ju-hwan, Kang Dae-sung, Lim Ju-eun, Oh Man-seok, Jang Hee-jin, Lee Soo-hyuk, Kim Ji-won, and Jo Jung-suk. It broadcast on MBN from Saturdays through Sundays at 23:00 from December 3, 2011, till February 5, 2012. This series is about the hopes, passions, and love of twenty-year-old students in a music department at a university.

Jae-Hun (Lim Ju-Hwan) is a high school dropout who spends his nights on the streets with his two best buddies. One day, his companions attempt to steal from a drunk man without Jae-Hun and are apprehended by the police. He attempts to save his pals but is involved in an accident that results in the death of a stranger. He eventually decides to attend university to study acting. Park Tae Yi (Kim Ji-Won) travels to Seoul to audition for a place at a university. She lives in the countryside with her grandfather and inherited her father's musical abilities.

Ha Do Sung (Daesung) is the famous rock star Hades who disguises himself by wearing a mask. Do-Sung is unable to expose his true identity due to his hidden family background, so he attempts to live peacefully without calling attention to himself and enrolls in university. Kim Byeong Gun (Jo Jung-suk) is the outcast in his businessman family, desiring to pursue a career in musical theater despite his anxiety about performing in front of people. Eun Chae Young (Jang Hee-jin) is a seasoned actress who wishes to demonstrate that she is more than simply a gorgeous face. Already, Oh Doo Ri (Lim Ju-eun) is a great actress who would rather play first-person shooting computer games than practice.

These young people find themselves in Haneul Arts University's musical department, where they are mentored by eccentric professor Sunwoo Young (Oh Man-seok). As a result, students have the opportunity to understand what it means to be a "star" and to demonstrate to everyone around them that they can achieve in their chosen field.
