Ebeltoft

Ebeltoft, often referred to as one of Denmark's most scenic locations, is situated on the lovely Djursland peninsula in East Jutland, a few kilometres to the east of Aarhus, Denmark's second-largest city. Ebeltoft is often mistaken for a sleepy seaside town because of its winding cobbled lanes, charmingly crooked timber-framed houses, and blooming hollyhocks in the spring, but it actually has a vibrant cultural scene, especially in the summer when thousands of people visit and the streets come alive with live music. The Jylland, one of the largest wooden frigates in the world, is moored in the city and is a historical marvel, while the nearby Mols Bjerge National Park offers a wealth of recreational options.

Since its inception, Elbeltoft, a village in the municipality of Syddjurs, has been a fishing community. The town's wooden homes and cobblestone streets harken back to its emergence as a port for Scandinavia. The traveler can end the day in the bustling port after enjoying a leisurely stroll around the area's streets, seeing the City Hall, and snapping a snapshot of the majestic Jylland frigate, a museum ship that honors the region's former role as a port of call.
