Saksun
Saksun is surrounded by tall mountains and is located at the bottom of what was formerly a sea inlet. Before a storm filled the inlet with sand and obstructed it, it made a good, deep natural harbor. Old Harbor was transformed into an impassable lagoon of seawater that could only be reached by tiny boats during high tide. A church and museum are located in the settlement.
The church was initially constructed in Tjrnuvk, but in 1858 it was dismantled, transported across the mountains, and then put back together in Saksun. The Museum is located in a farmhouse from the seventeenth century called Dvugarur. The residence is a part of the Dvugarur farm, a working sheep farm with about 710 ewes.
The other side of Denmark is shown when we visit the Faroe Islands: a picturesque village on the country's coast that is encircled by mountains. Village homes with grass roofs are one of the most widely captured and depicted images. In addition to having amazing hiking paths in the mountains that surround it, they may entice you with their distinctive layout, their streets, and their stunning cathedral.
