Olsker
A Romanesque round church built in 1200 is called Olsker Church. It is visible for kilometers around and stands by itself on a hilltop. It was once utilized by sailors as a navigational landmark. There is proof of villages from the bronze and iron ages, as well as Viking-era dwellings, to the east of the church. The old schoolhouse in the community is another piece of its history.
People staying on the island of Bornholm tend to mention one more charming neighborhood there. Here, the contrasts are created by the spotless white buildings, which in some ways are more reminiscent of the white villages in Andalusia or Greece, and the black-painted barns. In this instance, the circular church also serves as a lighthouse.
It is renowned for having Sankt Ols Kirke, from which it derives its name, the tallest of the island's four round churches. Bornholm Cable substation is also located at Olsker. The Baltic Sea, Christianso island, and two more islands may all be seen from Olsker.
