El Cabo San Juan
El Cabo San Juan is a beautiful, traditional sandy beach located within Tayrona National Park. This pocket of heaven is only a half-hour drive from Santa Maria and is easily accessible from prominent Colombian tourist centers, so a few nights spent relaxing on the beach at El Cabo San Juan may easily be tucked into your Colombia itinerary.
El Cabo San Juan beach is an undeveloped refuge; you won't find raucous bars or many cars here, but you will be rewarded with one of the most beautiful beaches on the Caribbean coast. On the beach, there is only one restaurant, which is an excellent area to sit and have a beer at sunset.
El Cabo San Juan has a café and a campsite with hammocks and cabins in a stunning overlook on a rock amid the beach. It's possible to spend a very atmospheric night here. Swimming is also doable most of the time, but don't go too deep.
