Playa Blanca

Playa Blanca is one of Colombia's top beaches, with gleaming white sand and crystal-clear waters. The beach is located on Isla Baru, a peninsula that is only accessible by boat, about southwest of the historic city of Cartagena.

Playa Blanca's main appeal is its white-sand beaches, which may be visited on a day trip from neighboring Fuerteventura, along with other island attractions such as Montaas del Fuego (Fire Mountains), Ruta de los Volcanes (Volcano Route), and the vineyard Bodega La Geria.

Playa Blanca is rightly popular with vacationers looking to relax on a beautiful beach for a few days. As a result, there are a few locations to rent sun loungers and a small restaurant providing light fare. Playa Blanca is part of Utria National Park, and between July and October, humpback whales can be seen migrating along the Pacific coast.

Playa Blanca is a picturesque village with white buildings that contrast brilliantly against the reds and browns of the volcanoes and the deep blue waves of the Atlantic Ocean.
