Taganga

Taganga is located on Colombia's Caribbean coast about 10 minutes or 3 kilometers (1.9 mi) north of Santa Marta. Taganga has evolved over the last two decades from a little-known village with a lovely beach to a full-fledged tourist attraction with a plethora of hotels, shops, and restaurants. Taganga beach is no longer a hidden slice of true Colombia, but if you want a gorgeous beach with amenities and an easy holiday, Taganga beach has everything.

Taganga beach is modest, but it is surrounded by rounded hills that protect the bay and provide excellent swimming conditions. This portion of the shore is also popular with scuba divers, and numerous dive centers in the region can help arrange diving expeditions.

There are a few popular bars and clubs for individuals who wish to let their hair down with a few drinks in the evening.
