Sapzurro

Sapzurro's emerald bay is a great place to spend a few days. Sapzurro, near the border with Panama, offers the opportunity to withdraw from daily life, unplug from WiFi, and relax in the wonderful natural surroundings. This area is so isolated that the only way to get to the tiny settlement of Sapzurro and its gorgeous beach is by boat. Sapzurro, on the other hand, is extremely spectacular, with beautiful beaches, excellent seafood, world-class diving, and lovely jungle hiking.

The nicest beach in the area is actually on the Panama side of the border, although it is best reached via the aforementioned border hike from Sapzurro. La Miel is a beautiful beach with white sand, palm trees, and good snorkeling that is well worth a day trip.

With such a prime beachfront position, it's only logical that Sapzurro serves some delectable seafood and fish meals. There are only a few restaurants in the hamlet, but most hotels and hostels serve lunch and dinner, so order some local seafood specialties!
