Epoka University
Epoka University (EU) is a private university in Tirana, Albania that was founded in 2007. In 2011, the university was accredited by the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education. It grants Bachelor's, Master's, Professional Master's, and PhD degrees. Epoka staff solely administers six PhD programs: architecture, civil engineering, computer engineering, economics, political science and international relations, and business administration. It collaborates with Leeds Metropolitan University to offer a joint degree.
The university is a signatory to Magna Charta Universitatum and a member of the International Association of Universities, a UNESCO-based worldwide organization. Epoka University has three faculties: Architecture and Engineering, Economics and Administrative Sciences, and Law and Social Sciences, as well as eight academic departments and three research centers.
Epoka University enrolls students from Albania, Turkey, Kosovo, Montenegro, and Macedonia, , Italy, Norway, the United States, , Jordan, and other countries. English is the language of instruction at Epoka University. The study programs are designed to be compatible with the Bologna system. The Rinas campus is 12 kilometers (30 minutes) from the city center, close to Tirana International Airport.
