University of New York, Tirana

The University of New York, Tirana (UNYT) was Albania's private university, established in 2002. UNYT provides English language instruction in three cycles of study. Many UNYT alumni are employed by major companies in Albania and abroad, while others are pursuing post-graduate studies at prestigious western universities.

It is Albania's only institution that has a collaboration with State University of New York/Empire State College in the United States, offering dual degree programs for Bachelor's degrees. For the Master program, MSc in Computer Science, the University of New York, Tirana collaborates with the University of Greenwhich – UK.

Since 2018, UNYT has been owned by the Turkish Maarif Foundation, one of the world's largest educational organizations, with 427 educational institutions in 67 countries. Since December 2020, the University of New York Tirana has been granted 6 - year Institutional Accreditation, the highest level of evaluation in Albanian HEI. All study programs at UNYT are accredited.
