Eufy RoboVac 15C Max Robot Vacuum
The Eufy RoboVac 15C Max Robot Vacuum had the greatest overall performance of the vacuums under $250.
It took up all of the coffee grounds, kitten litter, and pet hair that we had strewn around the carpet and hardwood floors. When it came to flour, it had a harder time, leaving 10% of the flour on hardwood and a disappointing 40% of the flour on carpeting.
Another area where the unit struggled was in the corners. It only got within 3 inches of the wooden corner, and it only got within an inch of the carpeted corner, so it didn't pick up any flour.
On the plus side, the RoboVac 15C Max only got stuck about a fifth of the time during its cleaning cycles. It's also the quietest of the devices we tested, with a maximum suction power of 60 decibels.
The vacuum connects to your phone and is Alexa and Google Assistant compatible. Unfortunately, the software (which is available for iOS and Android) does not allow you to create virtual walls or no-go zones.
In addition, the setup and connection to the app were both quick and painless, requiring only 10 minutes in total. The vacuum has a tiny footprint, allowing it to fit into small locations.
