Feast of Saint Martin

Another most famous festival in the Netherlands that is loved by many tourists and coming to it is the Feast of Saint Martin, worshiping the saint revered by the Dutch people. The festival is held every year on 11/11 in the Netherlands, the impressive point of this festival is similar to the Halloween carnival.

The feast of Saint Martin is celebrated by children and is very popular in the Netherlands. On the evening of the first day of the festival, a group of children will go out to the street to sing and read poetry and hold lanterns of various shapes and colors. The festival is held as a gift for children with their efforts in studying for the past year, on this day adults will give children candies and food.
