Pinkpop Festival
Pinkpop Festival is the largest and most famous Dutch pop and rock music festival, held in the city of Landgraaf in Limburg, which has been going on since 1970, making it one of the oldest festivals in the world. Its name derives from the Dutch word pinksteren which means Pentecost, which is when it is traditionally celebrated. It's a Pinkpop festival with an all-star cast from the worlds of rock, pop, dance, electro, hip, indie, punk, folk, alternative, and more.
The Pinkpop festival is one of the best and most famous in Europe, taking place after Easter (early June). The festivities include the masses and guitar and frenzied electric performances. Participants dyed their hair pink and wore pink T-shirts and pink plastic glasses, making the scene look like a sea of pink. While staying true to their guitar-cutting heroes, the crowd shouted, sang, waved their arms, and jumped up and down.
