Four is an unlucky number

In Korea, the number 4 is pronounced the same as the word "death". That is why 4 is considered an unlucky number in Korea.

If you've ever visited Korea, you probably realize this when taking the elevator in shopping malls, hotels or high-rise buildings will not have the 4th floor. Koreans avoid putting the number 4 in the address such as house, company, etc. Or even, if they sell the property with the number 4 in it, its valuation may be undervalued.

Koreans always believe that property with the number 4 will bring bad luck, so if you want to have luck, you must stay away from the number 4. Therefore, when Koreans want to find a place to live, they will stay away from place number 4. Otherwise, they may not only be unlucky, but the property value there will also decrease.
