Jeju island is the most famous island in Korea

Jeju Island (Korean: 제주도) is an island in Jeju Province, South Korea. The island is located in the Korean Strait, south of the Korean peninsula, opposite South Jeolla Province. Jeju is famous for its UNESCO World Heritage Site for Jeju volcano. Jeju has a mild climate, even in winter the temperature rarely drops below 0 °C (32 °F). Jeju Island is likened to the Hawaii of Korea.

Jeju Island is a place with impressive volcanic landscapes, underground caves, beautiful blue beaches and romantic walking paths. All these natural gifts have made Jeju Island one of the top tourist destinations for both local residents and foreign tourists.

When you come here, you can comfortably breathe in the fresh air and visit many beautiful sights such as Mount Halla, the teddy bear museum, and many natural landscapes that make you overwhelmed with its beauty.

There was a time when Jeju Island was the poorest area in the country because of its remote location and meager farmland, so the economy was weak. However, through the movie Winter Sonata, set in the charming wild Jeju Island, it wasn't long before tourists found out that the island was getting more and more crowded. Not only domestic tourists but also the number of international visitors also increased significantly, Jeju beach became a top tourist attraction of Korea.
