Glastonbury Festival

Glastonbury Festival is one of the most outstanding summer festivals in the United Kingdom, with a variety of performances every year including dance, comedy, theater, circus, cabaret, and other arts in addition to current music. The festival is now having leading pop and rock artists headlined on the main stages, as well as thousands of others performing on smaller stages and performance areas. The festival is held for 5 days in Pilton, Somerset, England, and it has been appearing in a good amount of movies, television, and newspaper.

Glastonbury Festival
is attended by around 200,000 people and can be even more. For example, Despite gatecrashers occasionally inflating the attendance, the Levellers' performance on The Pyramid Stage in 1994 set a record with 300,000 attendees. The majority of festival workers are volunteers, which helps the event raise millions of pounds for charitable organizations.

Glastonbury Festival
is recognized as a significant event in British culture, and was inspired by hippie ideals, 1960s counterculture, and the free festival movement. The Green Fields area, which is divided into the Stone Circle, Healing Field, and Green Futures sections, still retains some of these traditions. Michael Eavis hosted the first festival ever in 1970. After that, the music festival was held intermittently until 1981 and has been held most years since.
