Harpa
Even if you don't go to a concert at the Harpa, this remarkable structure remains one of the best sites to explore in Reykjavik. Harpa is a tourist destination and an award-winning work of art that has drawn millions of visitors since its debut in 2011. The building's award-winning architecture is distinctively artistic. The honeycomb exterior is eye-catching during the day and captivating at night when the windows change colors in a rainbow.
The Iceland Symphony Orchestra, Icelandic Opera, and the Reykjavik Big Band all perform at Harpa on a regular basis throughout the year. Mlinn Jazz Club, as well as the Classical Sundays Series, are also located in Harpa, and both feature regular events. In addition, there are two restaurants on the premises that serve traditional Icelandic cuisine and a small gift shop that sells one-of-a-kind items, many of which are created by local artists. Plan extra time before or after a concert in Harpa to enjoy dinner and a stroll along the water around the venue.
