Raufarhólshellir Lava Tunnel

The country of fire and ice has so many fascinating natural aspects that visiting is a thrilling science education in how volcanoes work. One way to find out is to visit the Raufarhólshellir lava tube in southwest Iceland. It is one of the country's longest lava tubes, measuring 4,461 feet in length.
