Help Lose Weight
Regarding the management of weight, peanuts have received much research. Despite having a lot of calories and fat, peanuts don't seem to cause weight gain. In fact, observational studies have indicated that eating peanuts may help you keep a healthy weight and lower your chance of becoming obese. All of this research is observational, therefore they cannot establish causality.
However, despite being instructed to maintain their starting weight, healthy women in a short, 6-month trial found that when other sources of fat in a low-fat diet were substituted with peanuts, they dropped 6.6 pounds (3 kg). In another research, healthy people who consumed 3 ounces (89 grams) of peanuts every day for eight weeks did not acquire as much weight as was predicted.
